Hello all... Yup... another new member here.
Shot an AR many years ago and always wanted to get one. I have been researching for a while now and was planning on buying in 2013... but my timeline sped up. Went looking around and at Gander Mountain Gun World here in WI I picked up a DPMS AP4 Carbine for $999 (this was Tuesday, Dec 18th). She looks great and I cant wait to have the time to get out and give her a try. Online ordered some PMC™ X-Tac Rifle Ammunition from Cabelas (at 7.99 a box). Its a start! I plan on getting some parts for it, different pistol grip and different Buttstock (the one it current has rattles... cant stand that) - I hope parts like these will be around in the next few months, or else my unplanned price tag will just get bigger. While I didn't plan for the purchase to be this soon, I'm glad I made it, and I look forward to learning from and being part of the community here. Can anyone suggest a good site to get a Form letter or something of the like to send to elected officials? Not too sure how to word something myself, but I do want to have my voice heard. Hmmm Forget form letters your own words have more meaning and short is better than long. Enjoy your AR! win ...and I'd spend money on ammo before stocks and grips, but if I had to I would get a bcm gunfighter grip and one of those magpul locking stocks things. Those wont rattle. |

Welcome..... NYHC music fan? Yes! I moved out of New York about 9 years ago... but still love it. Decent Hardcore music is pretty hard to come by here in Wisconsin, let alone anywhere else at this point. Cool... Lots of Hardcore music fans here.

Decent Hardcore music is pretty hard to come by here in Wisconsin, let alone anywhere else at this point. Yeah, it's like that in my region as well. The punk/hardcore/oi scene had a bit of a resurgence in the mid '00s, but it's been downhill since then. If the butt-stock "rattle" bothers you look into Magpul stocks as someone else suggested. I don't think you have to worry about PGs and stocks going anywhere in the coming months. I like the Magpul CTR. You can get the on sale for $60 every once in a while. Welcome to ARFCOM. |
