Its the new FN shotgun, apparantly its a AR reciever mated with a winchester 1300 action.

It looks to me like it might be worth having if not solely becuase you can mount all of the AR stock and grip accessories on it.

Might be nice with a hogue grip and ace skeleton Stock imho.

What are your opinions?

I think it's one ugly SOB myself. Maybe it would look better with a lot of "stuff" hanging off of it, but I'd have to see it.

heh I just noticed it uses AR sights too, all the better...

I don't think it uses an ar15 receiver. Here is a cleaned up picture.

Edited to add that I think it is growing on me. [:)]

My bad, looks like its just a custom butstock to use the Ar15 stock and grip.

Still cool though, and this is directly from CMMG so I doubt its a photoshop job. (you can check the image source if you dont believe me). I thinke theyre going on sale for 600$

Looks CooL to me!  I like ugly guns though [:D]
If it's functional I don't care how it looks.

It even looks magnaported up by the front sight.

I'll take one with an ACE stock & tritium sights!

EDITED to add:

The CAR stock does look like a bad idea But the pistol grip receiver with the optics rail & the A2 sights look like great ideas IMHO
The barrel porting could be done easy enough to any shotgun

If anyone ends up getting one of these, tell me how it shoots... I'm actually pretty interested now.

Of course I wouldnt keep the car stock on it.

I said it in another thread about this thing, but I will say it again:

It needs a bayonet lug.  Like the 590.

I don't get it.

That looks to be a solution looking for a problem, and I'm not going to shoot a 12 guage with a stock as flat and hard as the old style CAR stock.

I couldn't agree more. THat's why i'll stick with my 590. Prolly costs 2/3 less too!

ACE stock and an Aimpoint. I like it. I also like the commonality of the AR grip and sights. Familiarity can be crucial in a bad situation.

Are sights really that important on a shotgun? Hell, I lost the bead on my hunting shotgun and used it for two more seasons before I replaced it, and only then because I was tired of catching shit from the guys.

IIRC, the large caliber Tromix uppers were reported to require a fixed stock as the recoil alone would tend collapse a collapsable stock.  I've also heard the recoil on them to be somewhat comparable to a 12g...  Put both of those together, and I wonder how well that stock would hold up - not even taking into consideration how well you would hold up.

Rocko

WTF!?! it's a damn freak,mut rig gun!

The thing looks like something the A-Team would build to fight bad guys with while trapped inside a gun shop.

I thought it was photoshopped.
But I confirmed it on FN's website.

Since (I assume) this doesn't have the buffer assembly installed I wonder if you could put this stock on it...
