Sitting here watching Neil Diamond's "Hot August Night NYC" concert. Wow, I guess I never really thought about it...the dude's 68 years old and going strong!

I can't find the youtube video now, but there was a great song with Neil, Van Morrison and a few other great singers. It was a MTV type vid, filmed in an old building, I posted it here before a long time ago, but kick myself now for not remembering the song title, it was actually a very good tune.

15 years ago, recently married, wife wanted to see him in concert. I said fine. 30 minutes into the concert I kept looking for something to pierce my eardrums.
Surrounded by a sea of colored haired, hefty matrons singing in unison with Neil. Cellulite appeared to be as common as makup I paid good money... to listen to the people singing around me NEVER AGAIN. |
