He just bought a new house outside Denver.  I got him a lawnmower as a housewarming gift and was going to get a weed eater but found out he was getting that himself.  I was told interesting and gadgety was the way to go and I am drawing a blank.  Help me arfcom. I know you will come through.

He's 32.

A beer and a dad to drink it with are all I'd ever want.

He's 32!

Like I just told my Mom for my 34th Birthday

"I'm a grown man, just give me a hug and a I love you"

She then hid a card full of cash in my house and I bought a rifle.

I hate presents in adulthood. Except those awesome things my kids make.

This.

I love just having my dad and mom around. I couldn't care less if they ever got me a present or card again.

Get him a retractable flag pole with the biggest Mountaineer flag you can find.  Nah  better yet, get him a Blackhawk Helicopter to fly it around with.

If he's into yardwork, get him a backpack blower or a gas hedge trimmer.

Echo and Stihl are good brands

Go on a father/son trip. My father and I did that a few years ago and it was one of the best memories I have. Now that he's a little older and i have kids, it would be difficult to do that again. So, I was glad we did it when we did. Beats spending money on another gadget, which you can do anytime. Spend some quality time together. Duck hunting trip, camping, golfing trip or whatever's your thing.

I'm going with Home Depot card too.  You can dress it up by putting it in a box (or series of boxes) and wrapping it (in a manly way , of course). Or get a little tool of some kind and put it in the box with the card.

Thanks for the input guys and girls. I've spent the last week with him helping him landscape and hang kitchen hardware.

He's a foodie and I realized I had a business coliegue near Denver. I am going to arrange for a chocolate and wine paring class for him and his wife.

Thanks again for the input

I can agree with this. I'm 30 and my dad is not around.  I would love to have him around to just drink a beer with...except that's what killed him...

I'm 33, and these are some gifts of varying price that I'd enjoy:

Benchmade Knife
Fenix flashlight
Aimpoint Micro
Ruger 22/45 lite
Sea doo PWC
Defensive handgun class
M1 Carbine

I agree! This advice Xs 2000
Father and Son time spent together can never be taken away.

I would give anything to have just 5 more minutes with my Father!

Same here.  I only had a couple of occasions to simply talk with my Dad over a few beers.  He had his Big One and passed away when I was only 25.

Get your son a Home Depot gift card for a goodly amount with the caveat that he buys the beer and that you are required to be present to help him do the work then to BS and drink that beer with him when the work is done.
