Does anyone have a copy of the previous version of AOL Instant Messenger? The new "Triton" version sucks and I can't find my copy of the old version.

The new version is not downloadable in the classic sense. You download an "installer" that then bring the stuff over the net.  The old version was completely downloadable in one .exe file.

Can anyone help a brother out?

AIM 5.9 is available for download on the aim.com site... just pick  "Win98/ME" for the operating system and voila.

big 'ol +1 on Trillian - I've been using it for a year now and love it to death - one client to connect to all the various messaging systems.
