I am sure this is a dumb question. I am gonna sight in my PTR91 tomorrow so I can hunt hogs tomorrow night. What will happen at 100 yards if its sighted in at 50? What would the POI be at 100? I can only sight it in at 50, due to the range I am using is close to my work. The bullets will just be run of the mill remington 150 soft points.

Hold dead on at 100.  The bullet will strike within a half inch of the point of aim.

A 150 grain bullet with 0.35 BC at 2700 fps will strike about 0.2 inches high at 100 yards and about 3.9 inches low at 200 yards.  This assumes the sights are 1.5 inches above the bore centerline.

It will be slightly high at 100, I would think 2 to 3 inches at the most.

So not enough to worry about?   Its an 18 inch barrel, if that matters.

Thanks for the replies.

Thanks to both of you.
