Some people actually fall for this shit.

At least 1x month I get to go take a police report for someone bilked by such a scheme, but maybe to a smaller $ scale.  So I go out, talk with the victim, usually repeat, "You did what?" several times, then give them a police report number.

I then get to explain that no, the municipal police department is NOT going to go to (England, Nigenia, etc...) to arrest these horrible perpetrators and recover your money.  What I am going to do, though, is give you a police report number.
