I wasn't aware of the rules pertaining to player behavior during the national anthem. Rules are rules, now we will see if the NFL has the stones to enforce their own rules.
It would be interesting if every player who violated the rule got the same fine ($10,000 for example). Then the NFL could donate all that money to various veteran's organizations which have the best ratings from Charity Watch (they rate the percentage of donations that actually end up being spent for the claimed causes). If each team receives fines for 40 people at $10K each, that could be significant money. |
