I at one time owned 3 labs, every color of the spectrum and all 3 female.

Here's my assessment;

The Yellow one was cantankerous, disobedient, and moody as hell.
On rare occasion she listened and worked, but never up to her full potential.
Basically...she was LAZY!

Now  the Black one was a dream. Faithful, obedient, hard working and
just an all-around great dog. May sound strange to say...but perhaps a
bit too affectionate.

Onto the Chocolate dog. Absolutely friggen demented, nuttier than fruit cake.
That dog wasn't right from the start. Uncertain as to what it was about that
dog, but there was an instant attachment. She immediately became my
favorite, and she never left my side.

I'd have thought it impossible...but that dog was able to smile! When I tried
or attempted to discipline her, she'd give me this look...that forgave all.

In the future I to hope to acquire another dog...without doubt, another Chocolate Lab.

I'm from Great Falls.  How does your dog have pig bladder on his hind?  is it a graft or somthing? It might be interesting to see a pic.

Hope he feels better

Oh you do huh???
Here is the 411 on my "cute little puppy" in the photo above...

Damage:
- Krieghoff K32 forearm---Wife almost called the SPCA on me that time!
- Complete basement/family room carpeting
- Beadboard in family room
- Rear seat/ interior HAIR everywhere - 2004 JEEP Grand Cherokee
- In-laws entire back mudroom- all wood trim GONE!
- 3  230gr. .45ACP/ 6 12ga. #7.5/1oz. Sporting loads
- Side yard - resembles a MINE FIELD
- Patio screen door
- Neighbors rubbermaid lawnbox

This is just the stuff I can think of...there has been ALOT more, but my wife loves her to death so she gets to stay. She is an excellent guard dog and loves kids like nothing I have ever seen in a pet before...

Your dog looks like it may have come across those "OTHER PLANTS" you keep on the back deck. OR perhaps he is asian?
6/5/2005 6:23:49 PM EDT

Nope, just a combo of being sleepy, squinting in the sun, and old.
