Brethren, it is with deep gladness that I announce my wife of 11 months has received her temple endowment this night, She became a member of the church in 1992. We married last December 10th, we're preparing to be sealed next month. It was great to be able to take my wife to the temple.

Those of you who are LDS will instantly understand what a wonderful thing this is for us (ME especially) and those that are not members, I thank you in advance for your patience in attempting to understand the significance. Here's a pic of she and I with her just after her endowment as we prepare to make the trip home.

Thanks for stopping by the thread.

I do not understand the significance.  Could you elaborate?  Also, smile!

Congrats! That is awesome! Bieng sealed to your spouse is one of the greatest things in the world. A little advice (if you dont mind) is to keep going back. If it is  possible at least once a month. It has helped my wife and I through thick and thin. May god be with you and your eternal companion.

Thanks brothers!

It was an awesome experience, we did change the temple to Redlands as it was closer to home, we'll have to visit San Diego another time, we're being provident and watching our spending. We're very close to the Redlands temple, which is a blessing. The sealing is something we'll always remember as it was nothing short of magnificent.

We've been visiting the temple about weekly (Except the week of Christmas) since my wife's endowment, our SP calls it "Mormon Marriage Counseling", it sounds good to us, so, we took up his challenge, it's been great every time and just keeps getting better too.  I'm hoping my mother goes to the temple next year, I really want to seal her to us and have her seal to my grand parents. My wife and I did their temple work in November, which was again, awesome.

Bravo!

We take turns going each week.  According to my wife, I'm apparently more pleasant to be around when we go to the temple regularly.

Not sure if that means that I'm actually more pleasant when I have more of The Spirit with me, of if she's better able to put up with me when she has more of The Spirit with her.

Returning as often as you can is excellent advice. It helps keep things in perspective, which is getting difficult these days with all the nonsense going on in the world.

Congrats to you and the wife!

Sometimes people say they like to attend the temple because it gives them a break from the "real world."

I think of going to the temple as a visit back to the real world and a reminder of what it's truly like.
