This is at our family farm . Longest measured shot is 300yds. And marked at 50yd intervals. The small targets are 6" med are 10" large are 15". Had two more 15" but the 50cal tore them off. All targets fall or swing. Except for the tanks.

For us Californians who think a 1/4 acre lot is gigantic, how many acres would you need for a 300 yard range on your property?

I would love to have that in my back yard!

A lot 150' wide and 300' deep is a little over an acre. 45,000 sq. ft. Acre is 43,560 sq. ft.
Five acres gets you a narrow range for 500 yds, if you have a decent backstop so you're not shooting into the neighbor's yard.
I'm looking for a house out on the Oregon prairie/desert where I can load up in the shop, turn on the range lights and shoot off the concrete block bench on the shop porch.
We're thinking somewhere in the range (pun intended) of 100 acres.
