As a teenager I was told (and believed at the time) this story re. my cousin. We (my immediate family) were told by my aunt that he had been a and was now out because he couldn't handle the pressure anymore. He had covertly boarded Russian missile cruisers and had taken pictures of everything.  After his breakdown he was approached by the CIA...."we will pay off your new mustang, your mortgage, etc., etc. if you will do covert stuff for us in Latin America." (my cousin is a Poly but could pass for a "latino") She left the CIA part up in the air.

I stopped believing about the time I found out that one of her other sons wasn't doing pre-med, and yet another did not finish dental school.
