I made this tripod from extra material laying around the shop. I didn't have to pay for anything except some nuts and bolts. It doesn't fold, or do anything special, but for less than $10 bucks and a couple hours of work, I think it turned out decent. I used "Army Green" spray paint, but I think it turned out alittle TOO green. Like my super custom T&E?

Nicely done!

Hit that tri-pod with a light mist of flat black and it'll look even better.

Been on my list for months. I've got a K5 Blazer with a roll cage, and I REALLY want to mount it onto the roll cage when the top is off. But then the Suburban would feel neglected...

We know the solution to that too: get another MG to mount on the roof

Nope not available in the EE. If I was going to make more, I'd have to spend alittle more time getting the drawings right for the head. I cut the head of the tripod out on my CNC plasma cutter, but I really had to tweak it alot to make everything work right. In all reality, if I had done my part right, I could have added folding legs, but I rushed it and didn't bother to pay attention to anything as I was building the head.

That's purdy.

The green color is very enviroment-friendly.
