I've had two relatives go through angioplasty, and both came out great.  It's probably not considered a minor procedure, but I'm sure your Grandfather will come through it just fine.

My prayer for his return to good health is on the way.

Done.

Don't worry, it's a simple procedure nowdays!

Why do I know this? Not only do I maintain and repair Cardiac Cath. Labs, I'm also a customer [whacko]. I had a Stent put in last year, it was no big deal.

Send him our best wishes!

Consider it done.

There is one thing to consider about angioplasty, and that's that the procedure can cause scarring in the arterial walls which causes plaque to build back up in the artery.  This is what killed my father 9 months after having angioplasty back in 1990.  So, if your grandfather's doctor hasn't stated this already, it is wise to bring it up with him.  There are anti-clot medications that can keep this from happening, and your grandfather should be put on one of them.  Chances of survival are supposed to be greatly increased with such a regimen, though I assume usage of them may be common practice as they were not back in 1990.  The drugs that come to mind are Aggrastat, Integrilin, and ReoPro.

Our Gracious and Loving Heavenly Father be with our brother today and with his family. Comfort us all in these hours of darkness and suffering, both physical and spiritual.

Guide the hands that minister unto our dear brother, and strengthen their resolve to do everything that You have put within our power to accomplish.

The rest, Holy Father, is up to you. Let Your will be done, as it must be, but we ask that Your will be that our brother lives and recovers completely.

In Jesus Holy Name, we ask these things, Amen.

DVDTracker - sorry to hear about losing your gramma. I lost my gramps in March. It sucks so bad. More than anything I will miss the veggies from his garden.
