Saturday, I had the high honor and priviledge to stand in a flag line with the Patriot Guard Riders at a funeral service for a fallen American soldier.  It was one of the most moving experiences of my life - and that was
BEFORE the soldier's father walked up to us and Thanked US for honoring the sacrifice his son had made with our presence.  HE thanked US!  I was speechless.  All I could muster was a 'God Bless You .'He was
followed by a soldier in the fallen hero's unit who walked the entire length of the line, wordessly (none were needed) shaking each person's hand.  There wasn't a dry eye in the line.

Yes, anyone can join.  You need not ride a motorcycle or have been in the service.  PGRs is open to all who just wish to honor fallen American heros AND desire to shield their families from the protests of the misguided.

VERY FEW things you would  otherwise do on a Saturday morning are more important or rewarding than showing respect and gratitude to the fallen and their families.

I have been to 3 funerals with  the Patriot Guard.  I agree with miamilightning,  it is a very moving experience.  You do not have to have a bike or be a rider to  take part.

Good work.

Those Phelps assholes are still doing it. They were in Maine this weekend.

Luckily, they didn't show in So. Florida last saturday - although there were enough of us to block their BS antics.
