I picked this up at Harbor Freight for $39 on sale. I mounted it to a 3/4X8'X2'.6" plywood. I got the idea from the VRCC web site.

It holds up the Valkyrie nicely and rock steady. It will make oil changes easy now since the Valk has no center stand.

I know, I used carriage bolts with very wide washers, the whole washer is 2.5 inches with a 3/8 hole. It should have good support. I don't plan on keeping the bike in the stand 24/7, just for oil changes and light work. It is just easier to work on when the bike is level. I don't know why Honda didn't put a center stand on.

Probably cause no normal person could pull a 800lb bike up on the center stand.

maybe, but this is a 700 pounder... my dad's Goldwing is 800 and he has it on the center stand all the time. he is 72 years old this year. LOL
