| Anybody using this? I used QS years ago but it's been 30 years or more. Our local K-Mart must be discontinuing QS so they have 5 qt jugs marked down to $8. |

BTDT. QS is good to go. Pennzoil makes it with a slightly different additive than their Pennzoil Yellow Bottle. No problems at all with typical oil change intervals. |

Its in all my cars and, even though I go 5,000 miles between changes (which only takes me 6 weeks of driving) my cars are all rock solid. My POS Ford Focus is just shy of 200K and when I changed my valve cover gasket the other week, it looked like a new engine inside. I can post pics if ya want. |

Dude, it's 8 bucks for 5 quarts of name brand oil. That's way less than I pay wholesale. I'd buy it all. Then you don't buy whole sale. As my whole sale cost is below $4 a gallon. Depending on your AO, it depends on who blends quaker state. In my region, its Warren distribution. And they have a less then steller track record. As seeing your from WV, it blended in glen Dale WV. And it is NOT the same as Pennzoil. Holy shit. Way different companies, way different base oils. Pennzoil in this AO comes out of Gordon Terminal system, McKees rocks PA. It uses Ergon base oil from Congo, WV. |

It was my understanding that they use the same base oils, but it appears you know way more about it than I do and I am mistaken. |

Another part of my family is involved with the largest shell joint venture in the US. If it makes sense, shell doesn't do it. But just like anything, regions matter, in your AO of Texas, they will likely be the same base oils as Texas is close to home. The north east is weird. Edit: still one of the largest oil marketers in the US. |
