Hey guys, a couple of minutes ago I stubbed my toe. After yelling "#%@" and jumping up and down for a minute or two I reflected on all the painful experiences I've had. I've cut myself pretty damn deep in the finger with an Exacto knife and that HURT (not too bad, I know)!!! What's the most painful thing you've ever felt? |
|
i've had a couple, when i was 9 or 10 i went head over heals all the way down 2 stories of brick stairs.....in a HS baseball game a kid came into 3rd base metal studs up into my shin tore my skin through to the bone and put a nice dent in the shin bone itself, that was prob. the worst
|
|
When I was about 9 I had boiling water poured down my back & shoulders (long story) That was REALLY painful.
|
|
Acute appendicitis.....
Hurt so bad I could not stand up straight....not to mention the fatigued stomach and throat muscles from puking all night... Then the friggin' staple removal......god damn those 9 staples hurt like a BITCH getting out.... |
|
Severed my thumb just below the thumbnail.
A facinating experience, overall. Barely hurt at all, but it sure pissed me off. Hurt like hell the next day, and the next day, and the next day... Edit to add- Piccolo, I have no desire to feel your pain.[>:/] |

I shattered two vertebra in my neck a few years ago. That was pretty bad.
Less that a month ago, I broke my trigger finger playing softball. That was worse. Seriously. The fingertip, past the first joint, was shattered. All of the joints were jammed, including the one connecting the finger to the hand. It was like the mother of all finger jams. It was like a hand jam. I've also almost sliced off that same fingertip with an x-acto knife. The swelling from the broken finger was tearing on the massive scar tissue from the cut. It looked like it was going to rip open. I should have posted pictures. |

It would either be the time I crushed my heel or the time I got all cramped up from being constipated.

I had an really bad ingrown toe nail...actually growing out the top of my big toe. It was all swollen and NASTY...stubbed that sucker and it literally "exploded". Driving a needle-sharp nail from the inside out the top of your toe realllly freakin' hurts!
[edited to reflect NASTY as opposed to TASTY...damn typo!! I ain't that messed-up, BeeKeeper!!!] |

The first time I tried to stand up after hernia surgery. Felt like being stabbed in the lower abdomen with a stick while being kicked in the jewels.

Not the most painful..but the most recent..
Today I was using a belt sander, well I was in a hurry and holding the part with my hands (done it hundreds of times) well long story short, my middle finger on my left hand is now missing about half the nail, sanded thru the top into the skin about the size of a dime. Felt AWESOME. Then after work today I was finishing up my WASR conversion and the mag was still a little sticky so I forced it out...and guess what body part it slams into full force? You guessed it, right on my newly missing fingernail....stupid hurts [:P] so the rest of today is gonna be spent in front of the computer where typing without a middle finger is the only hazard. Didnt really hurt...but almost lost my balls when I was 10 jumping off a countertop onto the corner of an open door, ripped thru my jeans and I have a 3" L shaped scar on my left inner thight about 1" from the berries. I didn't cry untill my mom said I had to go to the hospital for stiches. And last but not least, when I was 16 I had to have my left big toenail removed cause it was ingrown, well during the inital visit they numbed it up to cut into it a little, so when they wanted to remove it a week later I said "No anestetic this time" walking with a numb foot for 4 hours sucks. So they said "uhhh, okay, this might hurt" and they proceded to rip my nail out with a pair of pliers. It was kinda cool to watch, I guess I have a high pain tolerence, which is good, cause i'm always getting hurt. Inresting side note, next time you give blood in those little viles, pump your hand, it will squirt into the tube and freak the doctor out [:D] |

Without a doubt popping my knee out.
Did it in High School. Was during PE and out on dirt screwing around with some of the guys and a soccer ball. I turned one way, my knee went the other way. Next thing I remember is being face down in the dirt, shrieking at the top of my lungs. As I lie there, tears streaming down my face making mud puddles, gasping for air and sucking in dirt while screaming in blinding, incoherent pain my "buddies" threw the ball at me, hitting me in the head! They thought I was faking for attention. Damn thing puffed up like a grapefruit. I ended up bandaged up and hobbling for a week plus. A few months later I popped it again. Doctor told me one more time and it would be surgery to correct (this was when they had to slice your knee open and you wore a cast for 6 weeks afterwards). Even today when I get a “twinge” the fear/shock flash will make me sick to my stomach. |

I was on a hunting trip on Anticosti Island in Quebec, Canada five years ago. Very remote place. First day of the hunt I bagged a nice bug 8 pointer. Back at camp, Jacques (the guide) and I were hanging the deer up in the meat house. I took a step back, and plunged through a hole in the floor. The hole was where they swept the guts and junk into, and someone left the cover off.
My arms are what stopped me. Had to be flown out to a hospital on the mainland in St-anne-des-monde. (Another long story) Busted the humerus in my left arm. Hunted one day out of a four day hunt. Flew back to Montreal, then drove to NC with one arm operational. Sucked it did. Still hurts to this day. |

Well ive had alot of pain but I'de have to say gettin hit by a car for the third time, my balls were basically rammed into a telephone pole after gettin thrown 10 feet. i was in pain.

I get the GOUT in my feet.
It sucks, believe me. Go to bed feeling fine,[:D] wake up and have to have crutches to motivate. Nothing can even barely touch the skin without.... Pain Extreme,[>(] Till Indocin and Colchicine finally help.[0:)] MM419 |

Migraine headaches back when I was in school. Had to go home when they started. Talk about absolute agony. I felt I like I wanted to die when I got them. I would be down for the count for at least 5 hours when I got one, didn't know where I was at and puked several times. I'm glad I don't get those anymore. It was horrible[:(]

I was on hunting trip out in West Texas. I fell twelve feet off the side of a Deer Blind...well, when it was all over the outside of my right foot was touching my right hip. Blew out my ACL,MCL, torn Medial Meniscus & broke the tip of my femur off.

I've broken both little toes 4 times, ripped the nails off of the same toes more times than I can remember. I'm kinda immune to pain but, when the 'ol sciatica catches me off grard, it would be nice to have a shot of morphine handy.

broke a few ribs last summer --that pretty much sucked and there ain't much you can do about it....
but the worst would be when I was about 5 years old i was riding on a dirt bike barefoot and my foot slipped into the forks of the bike and ripped all of the flesh from the bottom of my foot to the bone.....nearly had to get a skin graft. I've had my nose broken 4 or 5 times and that is no picnic either t |

I think number one would be: After wearing shoes that didn't have the proper arch for a semester of college, my leg started hurting. I would limp occasionally. Then it got a little more noticeable. Eventually, whenever I would lay down in bed, it would hurt really bad to move until it got loosened up. Finally, one morning I could hardly move it at all because of the pain. I tried to stand up, and came as close as I've ever come to passing out from pain. It was amazing...
Second would probably be a numbing shot in the tip of my finger when I recently cut it on a glass jar... |

Back in December, after just having knee surgery to remove some mysterious tissue, I got a terrible infection in my knee and bone that gave me a 105 temp. On top of that, I fell and completely tore my MCL a few days after the first surgery. I was laying on my back on the hospital bed and the orderly type guy came to move me to the transfer gurney, but when he pulled my bed sheet to move me, my foot caught on the end of the bed and bent my shin and foot 30 degrees to the outside of my leg. It hurt so bad that I screamed and passed out.

My brother slammed my head in the trunk of our family car 3 times. That tickles; A LOT!
Then I got shipped out in ambulances a few times with light spinal injuries in hockey, and collected a few more internal bruises on my spine/skull (dents in the bone) in Tae Kwon Do as well. A boating accident left me with a nice size scar too. |

Herniated #5 disc in lower lumbar: on a scale of one to ten it was an eleven. Severed tip of right pinky finger at the base of fingernail: ten. Severely sprained ankle (swollen to size of large grapefruit): nine. Riding a stingray bicycle as a child and having the chain brake during hard standup pedaling and slaming down on the cross bar scrotum-first: eight and a half. Ingrown toe nail: eight. Surgery to remove toe nail: seven and a half. Upper arm slashed by broken beer stein in bar fight: six. (he lost) Hangover from drinking Apfel Korn all night: five. Panzer Out |

Nothing comes close (broken fingers, broken ribs, burns, etc.) to a compressed nerve in the neck from the auto accidents. Even enugh morphine to knock me out wont entirely kill the pain, and to top it off, it makes my hands go numb to the point I cant even wipe my ass.

Broken heart. I watched my daughter lay in a hospital bed in a coma for 7 days.

wakeing up after bypass hurts lots but I didn't
half expect to wake up so It was really ok. Two days later having the chest drain removed (they just yank it out of your chest) was I ever surprised to find the damm thing went all the way up inside my chest-about 15 or 18" Man oh man!! |

The worst pain Ive ever felt was when I had 10 teeth removed, it furt for a week.

Until you've attempted self-trepanation, you don't know the meaning of "pain."
cynic p.s. IM me for full instructions and tool requirements. |

The worst was definitely the 35 or so kidney stones in the past 13 years. The last one measured 7mm x 5mm OUCH.
Cut a pinky finger off below the first knuckle, had it reattached and then went back to have it removed 4 months later(bone wouldn't heal). The week following hernia surgery. Had chicken pox with a 104 degree fever along with an abcessed tooth at the age of 23. No dentist in our town would see me because I was contagious. |

Yeah, some of those things are painful. But let me tell you a story...
Once, when I as a kid, I was playing with a pair of scissors. Well, being a kid my attention soon moved on to something else, and I left the scissors on the couch. Later that night when I jumped back up onto the couch, guess what was waiting for ass... |

Got bitten by a copperhead on the left ankle when I was 15. Bite itself didn't hurt much, like a bad sting. When the leg swelled up to about twice normal size, turned black, blue, yellow & green and every doctor within 50 miles had to come in and prod & poke on it...THAT REALLY HURT!!!

appendicitis & the resulting emergency appendectomy
thought I was dying! [LOL] |

I found and brought home a fairly large geode ('bout 4-5 pounds) while squirrel hunting last Saturday and it ended up in a pile of clothes on top of the spare bed. Yesterday, I'm doing my laundry and yank out a fistful of clothes and the damn geode rolls off the bed and lands squarely on my bare right big toe. The GF said I was stomping and cussing out the rock for 10 solid minutes.

Here are a few of my "experiences"
* Watching lung cancer kill my grandfather * Getting dumped by the woman I wanted to marry * Home surgury for ingrown toenails * Home surgury to remove a cyst from the cheek of my ass (bled like a bitch too) * Ripping off a big toenail by stubbing the toe * Index finger caught in a grinder * Ran a drill through my thumnail and into my thumb once * Pluerecy (probably misspelled that), Hurt like a motherfucker just to breath * Dumped a dirtbike once. When the bike landed, the handlebar was sticking about straight up. When I landed, my ribs were the first thing to land, unfortunately they landed on the handlebar. What really sucked was having to get the bike back up and kick starting it so I could get home. I never saw a doctor about it and my ribs hurt for months. * Getting arterial blood drawn from the wrist hurts like hell. While it isn't painfull, I am getting a bit tired of having stuff cut off me. I have had about 8 surgical procedures in the last few months, with a minimum of two more in the near future, after being diagnosed with skin cancer. Aint life grand? |
|
Maybe not most painful, but when i was in the Army I had unprotected sex and then it burned when I pee'd. So I went to get STD test etc.
The nurse told me to drop my pants then she started masterbating me a little, so i'm thinking wow this is some test! (thinking of how some pornos start) i started to enjoy it, then all of a sudden, the nurse pulls out like a metal q tip and jams it in the head of my willy! I grabbed myself and fell to the floor in the fetal position, just laying there. Nurse said, "you can pull up your pants", I just layed there for a bit more. I turned out clean anyway. |
