For those interested, tomorrow is Christians United for Israel Day! Please keep Israel in your prayers!!!![]() The weirdest thing happened this morning. We have lived here for 2 years. There is this little metal piece on the outside of our door. We have always wondered what it was, but just assumed it was a door ornament. Husband took it down to see what it was and it was a Mezuzah, a little scroll written in Hebrew. Jewish people put them up outside of their doors. For those wondering what a Mezuzah is read the link below. RAISE YOUR HAND IF YOU PRAY FOR ISRAEL! http://www.cufi.org/site/PageServer |

Only fools would stand with Isreal. Call me a fool then because I will proudly stand with Israel. You have me confused - first you call on us to support Isreal, but now you want us to support Israel. |

Only fools would stand with Isreal. Call me a fool then because I will proudly stand with Israel. I think only fools would turn their back on Israel, but it is your choice to not support as it is my choice to support. I guess the crewmembers of the USS Liberty are fools in your book because they are calling for a war crimes investigation against Israel. You can side with the goddamn Israelis, I will side with our veterans. http://www.ussliberty.org/report/report.htm A Report: War Crimes Committed Against U.S. Military Personnel, June 8, 1967 Submitted to the Secretary of the Army in his capacity as Executive Agent for the Secretary of Defense, June 8, 2005. This report of war crimes committed against U.S. military personnel is submitted to the Honorable Secretary of the Army in his capacity as Executive Agent for the Secretary of Defense, pursuant to Department of Defense Directive Number 5810.01B (29 March 2004) [1] . This Report is filed by the USS Liberty Veterans Association, Inc. a California non-profit corporation, recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a Section 501(c)(3) tax exempt veterans organization, acting on behalf of the surviving crewmembers of USS Liberty. ...snip Conclusion The USS Liberty Veterans Association has established, prima facie, the commission of war crimes by the state of Israel against US military personnel and civilians. These Americans volunteered to serve their country. They followed all orders given to them. In the course of following those orders, they were suddenly and deliberately attacked by naval and air forces of the state of Israel and their country did absolutely nothing to protect them or seek justice on their behalf.. The failure of the United States government to undertake a complete investigation of the Israeli attack on USS Liberty has resulted in grievous harm to the surviving victims, as well as to the families of all crewmembers. Equally serious, this failure has resulted in an indelible stain upon the honor of the United States of America. It has sent a signal to America’s serving men and women that their welfare is always subordinate to the interests of a foreign state. The only conceivable reason for this failure is the political decision to put the interests of Israel ahead of those of American servicemen, employees, and veterans.[66] Finally, the fact that the Israeli government and its surrogates in the United States have worked so long and hard to prevent an inquiry itself speaks volumes as to what such an inquiry would find. The USS Liberty Veterans Association, Inc. respectfully insists that the Secretary of the Army convene an investigatory body to undertake the complete investigation that should have been carried out thirty-eight years ago. Respectfully submitted on behalf of the USS Liberty Veterans Association, Inc., on this, the thirty-eighth anniversary of the Israeli attack on their ship. |

May I ask why you support them? God says so...My Savior is was a Jew...I cannot think of any better reasons than that. Fixed it for you BTW...He was also never a carpenter. No, he "is" a Jew, "was" implied that he is DEAD, which he is not, he lives. In the truest terms he was a mason, but in todays standards he was a carpenter. Nice try though. |

That^ Exodus 19:3-8 (King James Version) 3And Moses went up unto God, and the LORD called unto him out of the mountain, saying, Thus shalt thou say to the house of Jacob, and tell the children of Israel; 4Ye have seen what I did unto the Egyptians, and how I bare you on eagles' wings, and brought you unto myself. 5Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine: 6And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation. These are the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel. |

- so I read-
The classical civilizations of prehistory knew of God, mankind's origins and morality. Om is used as an incantation because it was originally how we refered to God: The "O" open mouth to represent the Sun and the "mmm" formed by cressent lips representing the moon. God was symbolized as the Sun and Moon. As in our modern "I'll give you the sun and moon", it refers to totality or universality. Over the centuries and millenia, evil florished and good people were a silenced minority. The rest of the world lived in ignorance as primitives. Tens of thousands of years ago the hebrew tribes remembered that there was one God, when all the rest of humanity forgot. Stand with Israel: It couldn't hurt. |

Israel and humanity in general seems to be an example of what NOT to do.
I suppose the christians have the idea that we're supposed to all stand united. All humans, I mean. But from my perspective, it seems to be Israel vs. the world. Somehow a bunch of humans get the idea that they're god's pet people and that will excuse their behavior. We all know that god doesn't work like that. Everyone is accountable for what they do. No matter who you stand by, you're all judged by the drop and by the cup. You're judged by yourself and by eachother and by something greater entirely when you see where you fit in the scheme of things. I'll stand with anyone that will stand for someone else, regardless if you choose to believe they are special. I'm not Christian. I don't know what you call me but I like to think I know what you label "god" from a direct perspective. The most important lesson to be learned is that God is in everyone. Whoever you care not for, that is god. Whoever you love, that is god. Whoever you see when you look in the mirror, that is also god. You are god. Start acting like yourself instead of confused children with no idea what to do. |

I believe in order to enter into heaven one must accept Christ. When we accept Christ we are all the same in the eyes of God. I do realize that the majority of Jews do not believe in Jesus, some Jews do however. I really don't understand how that works to be honest because NO man will enter into heaven without accepting Christ. You cannot take snippets of the Bible to believe and not believe others. It is all the Word of God. |

It is all the Word of God. Yes, I agree that it is all the Word of God, however, I think that we must try to understand the context in order to really understand the meaning. I believe that when the book of Exodus was written, the Israelis were God's chosen people who He worked through to ultimately bring Jesus Christ into the world. After Christ's death, and based on what I've read in the New Testament, I believe that Christians and Jews alike, who have accepted God's offer of Salvation, are now one in Christ. This is why I personally do not view modern day Israelis as a singled-out group with more favor than anyone else. |
