You know, I don't mind the occasional "dupe" thread, it happens. I just move on, maybe point out it's a dupe, but I'll at least take the time to post the thread so others can go there.
What pisses me off though is someone barges into a thread and declares "DUPE!", and then . . . nothing. No reference to another thread, just "dupe". That shit is retarded. However, it seems EXTREMELY unhelpful when a MOD does it, and doesn't even bother to point out the thread that's allegedly "duped" so one can take the conversation over there, and on top of it engages in some gradeschool name calling. Example: Mod Response Example Do you think I MEANT to create a dupe? Fuck man, I use search too but sometimes it just doesn't yield a result. The best you could do is write: "dupe. noob." Brilliant response, very helpful. Just because my post count HERE isn't in the 1000's doesn't mean by any stretch that I'm some fucking idiot or deserve to be called some gradeschool name for posting a dupe. The least you could have done is point out the thread I "duped" so I, and the dozen OTHER particpants in the thread could go continue the discussion over in that thread. Un-fucking-believable, man... Yeah it was a dupe, sorry you didn't get a link. Mods volunteer. The time they spend locking shit is time they could be spending having fun here. They aren't always perfect, but they are pretty damned good. Get over it.....it's not that big of a deal bro. |
