What's the flight time of a missile from the "nearest" Boomer stationed off N Korea to strike the capitol?

Trying to get a feel for the total time to eradicate the NK capitol once they have fired on US interests.

87 minutes.

To hit Pyongyang?  A few minutes I'd assume.  Pretty close target depending on the actual location of the sub.

If it comes to that they can put a Minuteman III there in probably 30 mins.  No need to reveal a sub location.

More than likely though they would use a B2 or cruise missile.  Inbound ballistic missile warheads tend to freak out the whole neighborhood.

Basically everything on earth is within 16 (20 max) minutes of one of our boomers.

Less than 10 minutes.  North Koreans have shit for ASW.

We would knock it down, and, it would be the last thing they ever fired at anything.

Real shot or are you willing to accept a depressed-trajectory shot?

Well, Cuba to D.C. was six minutes, if I recall correctly.  If I recall incorrectly, then it was the time for a Soviet sub off the coast.  Anyway, take that as an upper limit.

Depends on whether or not we have one trained on p'yongyang and ready to go.

14,000 MPH covering 200 nautical miles (international waters) and the 100 NM or so means LESS THAN TWO MINUTES to impact after breaking the surface of the water.
.

They are SO FUCT.

How about "an interminable wait"?

While the Zero decides whether or not we should respond or just to send Hillary to talk down to them.

I have always thought a Prez would have no choice but to retaliate, but in this new era of hope and change, I think we would be more focused on the injustices we have perpetrated against them, the suffering we have caused and how many billions or trillions of aid to send to them.

I'm guessing that the Tomahawks from the SSGN would be feet dry first.

Yeah, but at 550 MPH, they will take 45 minutes from launch to boom.  A bit cheaper than a Trident.

As you noted earlier the NorKs have crap for ASW. I could park an SSGN 15nm from shore. Depending on the location of the SSGN in relation to the position of the targets, I could have warheads on foreheads in less than 30 minutes. Oh and if they decided to move in that 30 minutes, I could use Block IV Tomahawks to hunt them down.

Less chance of someone mistaking it for an attach on their territory. And 154 Tomahawks do make quite the impression.

With what would we knock it down.  I heard OB is dismantling the Alaska missle defense system.

But we already own the Tridents. And what else are ya gonna use them for? Probably would not get replaced in inventory either.

Might as well fire it as dismantle after it rust out.

And we got the 'red hot line' to tell the others where its going.

We must debate the Youtube appeal of either a Trident warshot or 154 Tomahawks fired in a <10min video.

We're still alive and kicking up here.  Budget proposal kills a 3rd missile field up here (what a waste to start something like that and not finish it) and freezes the number of GBI's we have (ie. no new ones added)  All of that was in the paper in Fairbanks recently (ie open source)  He's a retard of even bigger proportions if he kills us.
