Can anybody help me find a very small steam engine/motor for a science project?

Google didn't help me with what I need.

Thx.

Couldn't be that hard to make.

You need to define some parameters though. How much steam do you need at what pressure, temp, etc.

How small is small? etc.

ETA. Wait, your heading doesn't match your first line. Do you want a steam generator or a steam turbine?

do you mean a steam engine or a steam generator?

you could combine this with a steam engine you build yourself or order a kit

good luck!

I don't need one, but I'd also like to know where to get one.

the steam Turbine  is powered by the steam generator.

Just something simple to show mechanical motion from steam.  The project will generate steam.

Plans to make a very simple thing from scratch would be great!

He wants what he says he wants: a steam turbine generator.

I've seen small steam turbines, but you're not going to get much generating power out of one. And they're going to be pretty spendy. Maybe you can get a single-stage turbine (i.e. a turbocharger) from an automotive salvage yard. Couple the impeller shaft to a little AC motor and you're generating electricity. I don't know enough about electricity to tell you how to deal with the voltage and synchronization, though.

Google is your (eeee-vil) friend:

(add in a small DC motor and you are there)

I have this steam engine: jensensteamengines.com/hobby/h85.htm

They also sell an A/C generator that the engine drives.

I think something here will work.  Thanks!
