I am getting an error message when I click new email in Outlook.

it says ..." a program is trying to access email addresses you have stored in in outlook do you want to continue". An allowable time frame is then selected.

This occurred after I clicked let word edit my email messages in outlook options. I unclick that it goes away. I understand this can be switched off? Anyone know how?

Thanks

Have you check the knowledge base on microsoft.com?

Did you recently install an Outlook COM Add-In to extend Outlook's functionality?

If not, it is very likely that you have a virus. Microsoft added the security check you are seeing to prevent an e-mail virus from having access to your address book and e-mail i.e. Melissa.

I strongly suggest you run a virus scan.

If you did install a COM Add-In, then that add-in was not properly programmed.
