Want to upgrade the combat laptop. from 512 to1024

I opened the RAM cover and the stick reads as such:

KTI

MASC 22D     381S3-MAE

512 DDR-333

OK, I know the KTI means KingMax.

What is compatable with this to bring me up  to 1024?

Go to the Crucial Ram Calculator to be sure.

ETA see if your laptop can take 1gB sticks, 1gig isn't enough anymore

Is that authorized?
I don't blame you. The issued laptops are highly under powered. Remember to remove the memory when you have to turn it in.

I've never had good luck upgrading memory. From total incompatibility between memory sticks to glitchy performance. While it may at first seem like a waste of money, when I upgrade now, I simply purchase all new memory in the proper configuration.

Good luck! You may have a better result than I.

Go to crucial.com and run their system analyzer.  It will tell you what you have in the machine now and will show you compatible upgrades.

512 DDR-333 From that you have a single stick of DDR-333 Laptop Memory and the 512 Mems 512MB.

So you would need a Single 1 Gig stick of DDR333 Laptop Memory.

One of those is $39 and the other is $41 either should work.

If you put up the Make and Model of Laptop I could look up the Specs on it and make sure it will take a 1Gig stick. Could also look to see if maybe it would take a 2Gig stick or if it has a second memory slot.
