Everyone I have ever talked to here in AZ says he's a GREAT guy, very fun to be around, and has a kind and giving personality. People here in GD seem to hate him. What gives? |
He doesnt ever contribute to a thread? 95% of his threads are "87 this" and "87 that"....

I do that kind of stuff all the time, Mark. Feels good to give. Man, that was really cool of you! You just went up another notch in my book. Of all the AZHTF members I know personally, I definately want to add you to the list of guys I'd like to buy a beer for! One of these days we'll have to wash a few down together, ya fr00t! Maybe even 87 of 'em! FWIW, I think you're good people - an off sense of humor, and redundant at times, but good people. JMHO. |
Despite a few arguments I've had with MarkM I think he's OK. I think he can only get to you if you let him. If you take the net that serious than maybe you need not be on the net. MarkM is alright. |
Try reading in the tech forums. He mocks in GD and educates in Tech...ok he also mocks in Tech, but only when people do silly shit like number their mags.

You seem somewhat bitter these days, next comes calling people window lickers if they don't have a blackwater teddy bear....  Seriously rattle off the names of 5 guys here who play airsoft and don't own real guns, or maybe IMing me would be better. I see people snivel about airsoft but never see the posts that are anywhere but in GD. I suppose I could be missing something... |
Not bitter, I just think what was said is very ironic. You've got a lot of BTDT types on LF (yes, we have our share of them here too), because that board is set up to cater to those types. Sure you have a few airsofters that are accepted there, but they are few and far between. For the most part, the general membership is pretty brutal towards airsoft types. On the other hand ARFcom is a larger board with members from all types of backgrounds. That's not bad, that's just different. It makes more sense that there are going to be more Airsofters or more children posting. As far as pointing out the Airsofters, I honestly don't keep a tally. They used to bug me a bit, but after futher thought on the matter, I determined that there are FAR more disturbing subcultures on this boards.  So basically, they leave me alone, so I figure I'll return the favor. |
I disagree (respectfully) post anything anti airsoft over there and prepare to be flamed. Here (at ARF)it is the opposite. I can post pics of LF members and their airsoft "operations" I cant do that with anyone I know on ARF. Doesn't mean they are not here, it just means they keep it in the closet where it belongs. (Veteran of several airsoft bashing threads and master of goat pics) |
Well in general you are right, but the spate of airsoft optics and mounts threads in the optics forum really was quite irritating. It seems to have gone away, thankfully. |
That's a different kettle of fish. Those guys are putting those cheap ass scopes on real ARs. Frankly I am tempted to just delete those threads, but then should I delete threads asking about Olys or Hesse ARs? I have no patience for the "it's as good as a real acog" idiots, but if guys want to talk about cheap ass scopes for plinking I don't see that it is any of my business. |
