In my "real life" company I own a Fadal CNC vertical machining center, Solidworks, and HSMWorks CAM....we make custom automation equipment...  I have been kicking around opening a small gun store at my shop w/ some of the extra space I have...  However, I wanted to take it another step and make some equipment...  I realize there is specific ATF paperwork required, etc..  But my question is this:

Can I use the employees of my original xxx, Inc. company to manufacture lowers for gun stuff, llc company - or do I have to have those folks on the payroll of said gun stuff llc and have workers comp specific for that  I am already set up as a machine shop w/ workers comp, but I didn't know if I could use employees from my original Inc to make shit for gun stuff llc....  I guess this question would also apply not only for workers comp, but also for ATF reasons.

Thanks!

pretty sure the SOT has maintain control after a certain point in the process...

where that point is, and what constitutes control, is up to the whim of the bureaucrats at the bATFe...

Thanks.  Not sure where to find this info or is a question for the ATF specifically?  I would like to avoid having anyone on the payroll of gun stuff llc, and keep them on my xxx Inc - mainly the machinist...  I doubt it matters who owns the equipment, but if needed I suppose I could "rent" machine time from myself.

Not a legal eagle but I wonder if it's possible to subcontract the work or workers from one company to the other (assuming you create a separate company).

Gunstuff LLC contracts Existing LLC to make said parts< Gunstuff LLC will have to have at least one employee to do the FFL

Good idea.  I have an LLC in progress for the "gun stuff"....and already have an INC for the automation stuff...  I suppose "gun stuff" can sub contract "automation stuff" company for machine and mfg time.  That would be great if possible.
