My roommate has orders to PCS to Alaska. It's too late to set it up to have the movers take the guns and he has too many to take on a plane. I've heard it's legal to mail guns to yourself, but dealers tell me you can't. His parents live in Alaska now, could he mail them to himself in care of his parents (or send UPS/FedEx in the case of his handguns)? Thanks for any info.

No change of ownership, perfectly legal.

Did the same thing when I was "in".

The difficult part is finding a carrier that will let you do it.

Wow, I did not know that you can do that. Very good to know, since I might be moving soon.
