Doesn't ammo have to be transported by ground, or am I just imagining that?

I think it does need to be shipped by ground and you need to attach an ORM-D sticker. I don't think I've ever received ammo any other way.

Ammunition cannot be mailed. Also, there is no prohibition against shipping ammunition by air. It is just very expensive because of the weight.
The CMP used to ship ammunition by air when they first started selling it, but went to ground shipping because of the cost. They still offer an air option for an extra charge. |
