fail.  I see its your 13th post so ill forgive ya but just for kicks...

you want to know about mags.
secondly, arguably the best ones out there are the P-Mags, made with polymer.  There are other companies too, and GI mags will be fine with a good follower and spring.  A gunshow is prolbably your best be since most websites are sold out.

Seriously...  I expected to see a flame fest based on the title of the thread.  Good job with not trying to scare of the newer members.

Hummm...those clips would go perfect with this:

.30-06 FMJ is now a helluva lot cheaper than  5.56 or 7.62x39mm. never thought I'd see that

I have only seen brass and steel clips. I suggest just using your mags and forget about clips.

There are indeed plastic stripper clips like the Thermolds that are made of Zytel.   I have seen them for $5.95 for 10 of them.

I was not aware God only used USGI stripper clips but it kind of makes sense.

Ammunition to go sells 100 unused USGI all metal stripper clips for $8.95

If you meant MAGAZINES then the polymer Magpul PMAGS are the best.  If you lived in Texas Id give you 2 USGI aluminum gas for one PMAG face to face all day.  I heard God switched to PMAGS last year.

madarcher427,

Don't feel too beat up about the terminology.  I too made that same mistake when I was younger....It's just with the current 'anti' agenda around all the time, using the wrong terminology doesn't help people that don't know anything about guns in general.  Using the right terminology, helps everyone!!!

Keep posting and asking questions as everyone here was new once and wet behind the ears!!!

This doesn't belong in a tech forum.  Moving to GD.  To the original poster, you can always post your question in the AR15-Magazines forum if you'd like.
