| Wouldn't it be cool if MW2 had D.E.??? You could make you're own sniper holes or whatever. That's one thing I love about BF:BC. |

Quoted: Everybody would have noob tubes and scavenger, and the entire map would be razed to the ground in a matter of moments... I can see it now....the map is Wasteland. The whole team runs with Javelins. The two houses on the chopper side, the house on the graveyard side, collapse the bunker, and blow apart the junkyard. Holy shit. ![]() |

But if I get thrown into a match, mid-game, I'll at least finish the match. I just creep around the perimeter, killing the snipers . I run Cold Blooded and Ninja (both Pro, of course) almost exclusively and the snipers are looking down their scope most of the time. 9 times out of 10, they won't know I'm there 'til I kill 'em.

I watch for movement, and when I see it, I zoom in. The movement of the scope waving about distracts me from THEIR movement, which is painfully obvious when you're sitting very still. |

I can't get into sniping. I'll randomly pick up a dead guy's Barret or something, on occasion and give it a go. But I don't have any sniper classes (aside from the default) set up. The ACOG is about as close to anything remotely "sniper" as I normally go. Quoted:
Looks like Bad Company 2 will have it...skip ahead to 50 seconds. That's pretty bad ass. I saw a YouTube video of multiplayer gameplay (some sort of objective game-mode) where people were chopping trees down with a mounted gun, to get a clear line of sight to the enemies approaching. |

I dislike sniping with the .50's just to much hassle and slow follow up shots, although lately I've been occasionally using the WA2000 to start unlocking the sniper challenges a little quicker follow ups then with the .50's. I miss the G3 from MW1 G3 + acog was my sniper class |

I think the maps are great, with a couple of exceptions (wasteland and estate), but one thing I thought was great about MW was that you really could get yourself into a hide and claymore it and be good for a few. Its damn hard to find a place to snipe in MW2, especially with only one claymore. But thermal scopes make up for that. +1 to sniping with the ACR or AUG+grip+thermal/acog. Hard to beat that combo. What was this thread originally about?

I like to snipe with an MG4 with grip and red dot, or ACR. There's no point in using a sniper rifle when those two weapons are just as accurate. Maps are too small to make use of sniper rifles. That's how I look at it. I've gotten ridiculous long distance shots with just red dot or holographic (and it's even easier with an ACOG). Really, the only thing you're missing out on is a possible 1-shot kill or headshot (although headshots are still very doable at long range with a red dot or holographic is the enemy is laying down facing your general direction). |
