When I go on MRE dates, I usually ask if they want their tabasco sauce.

I just did a thread on this a week ago, some guys had posted some very useful info in it.

In Basic Training (1996)  I received an MRE with M&M's in the bag. The M&M's package had "official sponsor of  the 1984 Summer Olympics" written on it. I believe that is the oldest one I ate.

As far as Cs go, the oldest one I recall eating was in, say, 1973 or so and it was dated in the fifties.

Just checked one of my boxes. The indicator dohicky is one solid color. I looked in the box, they are still have air sucked out of them and the crackers and apple jelly taste good

The one I opened had the milkshake though

I thought this would be about the guy who made dinner for his date with MRE components
