You really ought to celebrate by treating yourself to a SigSaur P229 in 40 S&W.
I'll be 49 in a couple of weeks. What is the correct firearm to buy yourself for your 49th? Turning forty was a major bummer for me. I thought I was going to instantly become decrepid. As it turned out, life in the fourth decade has been much better that my twenties or thirties. I don't even dread turning fifty at this point. It helps if your wife is four or five years older than you. No matter how old you get, you can always turn to her and say "well, at least I'm not as old as you are". Then you have to chuckle. It's mandatory.  Congrats on lasting this long. I hope your forties kick ass, in a good way.

 I enjoy your posts and hope you have another 40 years of posting...Except in the year 2045 posting on a gun board will probably be much different than it is today. The "old" guys will be lamenting the demise of their old plasma rifles that were replaced by the new partical beam weapon. Damn, you think about it, nothing ever changes GM |
