Born there, and try to make it there as much as possible. But looking through here:
http://www.panoramio.com/map/#lt=44.751660&ln=-85.625905&z=4&k=2&a=1&tab=1&pl=all
Of the pictures of city and the surrounding area strikes a nerve with me. Everyone else seems to have the same idea as well, over the last decade or so it's been growing faster than it can keep up. It's also one of the only places in MI growing after the big economic downturn.
Sure is pretty though.

I love that area.  Love it.  The whole Traverse-Petoskey-Gaylord triangle is where I would love to end up someday if I had to leave here.

I lived there for a little bit when I was younger. Never seen so many homos, hippys or homeless in my life.

Overated.

It was nice, but like most things nice, the few slugs become many.

Move on.

Yeah, there is something of a yuppie population.

Grand Traverse County, and it's surrounding counties tend to stay pretty well Republican though.

I could dig it.

Takes money and a job though.

It's a beautiful area. My ex-wife is from the area (Grawn) and her whole family lives up there.

I've gotten a couple of pretty nice rifles from Hampel's.

My girlfriend lives up in Traverse City.  It's a beautiful area, but you got to wonder about any place that had a regularly meeting Occupy group.  And Micheal Moore.  Fuck Micheal Moore.

Gonna be going up there this weekend for a conference.  Love being up there if you can find someplace to get away from the massive crowds of tourists.

My son was married at one of the wineries a few years ago, and on Saturday, he signed papers to buy a home under construction there. I've attended a few conventions there, played golf on the local courses, and went Salmon fishing on the Bay.  I think it's a nice place to visit but I don't want to live there.
