I don't want to drop big bucks, since it will only be used a few times. I have an old Sierra Deck Design disc, but it's really old by code standards so I would like to get something that's updated since the UBC has been implemented. Any suggestions?
Thanks Guys! bt |

Quoted: If you go to Home Depot's contractor counter with a rough idea and measurements, they'll print you a set of prints, materials list and even make the order for you. No cost. I work at the contractors desk at HD and design decks for people all the time. You do get a set of prints and a complete material list. Oh yeah, if you have someone at HD design a deck for you, please buy the material from them. Its a real PITA for us to do and most folks never come back to buy the material. |

This is why I'm looking for a program to use at home. I may end up having to do a couple (maybe more) deck designs for friends and family. Plus, I'm kind of a do it yourself guy and enjoy the challenge of learning a new program. Great suggestions so far tho!! Keep em coming!! |

Haha, yeah that would suck. I used HD for my fence design, and yes I bought everything from ya too. Had it delivered the day after I closed on my house. Too bad at that time your .mil discount wasn't in effect, that would have saved me a nice chunk of change. lol |
