On the other hand, if you put something up to sell and ALLOW bumping like that, you'll never get anything sold because people with no life will keep bumping their own ads. This is a way to make sure exposure is fair on a high traffic board. That said, you're in Colorado so be sure to check the RMGO ads page. |

ZERO TOLERANCE FOR BUMPING! Even if it is well intentioned, clarifies your ad, and isn't a shameless advertising technique, it's against the rules and will be punished with the full force of Moderation-Fu. If you don't like it, you can always leave and go to one of the other 2,000,000 forums where this isn't necessary. |

I remember back when Google was by mail. You'd mail in a search request and then... aw fuck it. Original Poster (whose name I don't give a fuck about), this site is free. You're listing (presumably) stuff for sale for free and reaching a large community. Try that with a newspaper or any other medium. Try it with CraigsList (you will be shut down if it's in any way offensive to Hippies) or try it with E-Bay (you will be shut down if it's in any way offensive to E-Bay's lawyers) Don't rock the boat, motherfucker! |
Or they can just leave it the way it is and make people follow the rules or have their thread locked. Why is it always so hard for new people to follow rules? |
Never have I seen such a dum practice. Way to go! Make it difficult for people to buy and sell.
