The thread about the average ARFCOMer's morphology got me to searching for the Falklands War white paper which exxentially said the the ideal soldier was slightly pudgy, but reasonable atheletic. It seemed the musclehead's who normally subsisted on high protien diets couldn't adapt quickly enough to constant C-rats and didn't have the stored energy to sustain themselves in sub-arctic to artic conditions while in combat. If anyone has a link I would appreciate it. I did find this however. www.globalsecurity.org/military/library/report/1992/EWL.htm |
