As I was sitting here at my computer tonight, I heard a "THWACK" at the patio doors. They're full pane glass doors and I immediately knew what it was. A small bird had collided into the glass. I went outside and picked the bird up. It was so stunned that it kept closing it's eyes and wouldn't attempt to fly from my hands. I took it inside and let it warm up. I tried to provide it some (brown) sugar-water, but didn't have a dropper to feed it with. After about 15 minutes, the family cat came round to investigate the new guest. All I say is that the little thing crapped into the saucer and tried to fly back outside through another piece of glass.... I captured it and released it outside, where it flew away chirping. Call me an old "softy" but I'm glad it survived. Have a wonderful weekend folks! Big_Cheese |

I thought I was going to be clicking on a thread about the first "Modern" bow that received as a gift from my dad when I was about 10 years old, an AMF LittleWing. This was quite a momentous event, since my dad was a bowmaker, getting a bow that was not "Homemade" was pretty strange to me. Dad had taken the bow in trade for some taxidermy work. |
