I need to set up my own email domain (I won't have a web site) where I can send and receive mail in a terminal box using Pine or Alpine. A commercial shell account should do the trick, as long as they support my own domain name. I'll also need around 5 gigs of space for email spools.
Any providers I should check out? |

Thanks, I had not heard of them. They look good. |

My eMail is run from my server from Slicehost.com (Full disclosure, I work for their parent company.) A fellow Racker? I have a slice there, too. Bought a domain and set up mail through Plesk (blah!). I just don't know shit about qmail, and the book confuses the shiznit out of me. |

I have a 1gb slice that runs Postfix and PostGrey to take in my eMail, remove 99% of the spam, and then forward it on to an Exchange server that is at my house. The slice also handles my website and that of my brother in law. |

Ahh, Crackspace. Been there done that and moved on. was a awsome place to work until the corperate folks showed up. I worked at Dell for years, then a small IT company downtown, then here. Rackspace is nowhere NEAR Dell's corporate stiff-neckness. I see it starting, and I've only been here since Jan 4 of this year. I see shit going around that makes me think we're focusing too much on marketing and sales than WHAT we're selling. We'll see how it goes. Overall, I love working here. |

Rackspace for a long time was like living in a frat house lots of freedom with no adult supervision, but instead of slowly working it in they went full retard. you with managed or intensive? |
