I am trying to install Ubuntu Linux on an old laptop and cannot figure out how to burn it to disc after downloading it.  The downloaded file is over 900mb and the most I can put on this CD is 700mb.  I tried to just put it on a flash drive but I get it top boot from the flash drive.

Any help?

Do you know how to boot to BIOS and change your boot options?

Depending on how old OP's  "old laptop" is, its BIOS may not even support booting from a USB drive.
