I just got around to getting this (on Kindle ) a couple weeks ago.

1) it's a long book. I've been reading like crazy and I'm just now 67% done with it. I love this. I hate books that end quickly.

2) it's fucking awesome. It started out a little slow, but that was because David Crawford was sneakily fleshing out characters. Before I knew it I was was pretty attached to all of them.

3) it is leaving me with an intense desire to stock up on canned food and ammo... which was part of the point of the book.

Anyway, so far it's a great read. I am loving every minute of it. I've been taking my Kindle to work so I can squeeze in reading on my breaks and lunch . The man is a great writer. Detailed characters, a slow and well-done build to chaos, realistic situations and reactions. I've been dreaming this book's scenario every night. I highly recommend this to everyone.

I finished reading it a couple weeks ago. I had read the online version years ago, but reading the printed version I tried to read only a couple chapters at a time so I could let things sink in.

And Karate Man should have carried an Glock instead of a 1911.

And one more question, I remember different things from the online vs. the printed version, was Lights Out changed before printing?

Great book. I think one of the reasons it is so appealing is because this is the book many of us wish we had the time, energy, and talent to write.

I think I paid seven bucks for it. Very worthwhile.
