Last night at the hunting camp I decided to go to the range and shoot in the dark. I found myself very lacking in the night department after Katrina. So now I have an eotec 552 and a tactical flashlight.(nv later if I can stop spending money). I set targets at 50yrds and 100yrd, the same as what I had been shooting earlier in the day. I did everything in the dark as far as loading, charging the rifle and working the controls. So I turn on the eoteck, aim and press the remote switch for the flashlight. I could not see the target at 50yrds thru the eotec though I can see it with my naked eye. The eoteck was fogged up. I had my rifle in my camper with the ac on full blast. I should have known better since I always leave my scope hunting rifle in my truck and never in my camper during hunting season because of fogging issues. Any tips on how to reduce the effects of fogging besides whiping the lense with your tshirt?

Did you hit the target with your iron sighs?

There are commercially available wipes which are supposed to prevent fogging.

I've been out of circulation lately, so I can't advise on a vendor.

If I left the eoteck on the rifle I still was looking thru a fogged up lense. I have a quick mount for the eoteck but  these bad eyes could not see the iron sights in the dark.

If I use this as my go to rifle at night then I would have to solve my fogging issues. After a hurricane it may not be an issue since I will not have ac. No power for about 2 weeks last time.
