a while back in 2009 decided to go with my girlfriend (now wife) to see a pixar movie. We didn't read any reviews and didn't know a thing about the movie. It was called Up. The first 15 minutes of the movie we were both bawling. WTF does that in a movie. Crushes your soul 15 gdamn minutes into it.

I won't watch "dog movies." Living those feels is plenty, I sure as shit don't need to relive them. |

Forrest Gump
Quoted: Watched Forest Gump awhile back...first time since my future wife and I saw it at original release in college. I totally forgot about the part where he talks to Jenny about their son...at her grave. As I have since buried said wife let's just say I'm not inclined to watch that movie anymore. View Quote Same |

Quoted: I've owned that movie for well over a decade, but all the reviews usually keep me from watching it. They all say the end is brutal. View Quote The movie is beautifully done and will tear your up. The movie poster: Attached File |

Probably not one you guys have seen, but it's called "Fireproof".
Starring Kirk Cameron. He does mostly life time stuff, or Christian stuff now. This one was more Christian. It's about a marriage falling apart and how the "love diary" saves it. Very good movie, kind of a chick flick with Christian overtones. Would watch again, would recommend. Edited for spelin |

They all make me cry - not so much cry, as tear up. Songs too. It fucking sucks.
I didn't cry when my Dad died, or at his funeral. I cried when Top Gun Maverick started. I cried when ghost Egon showed up to help the Ghost Busters. It's a nostalgia thing, as I get older and start to think about how far back my youth is, I think. I cry when I hear the first couple notes from the Band of Brothers theme. With WWII stuff, I think it's because I know that nothing I do will ever measure up to what they did, and I am grateful for their courage. I cry when I hear Silent Night 9/11. |

"You died on a Saturday morning. And I had you placed here under our tree. And I had that house of your father's bulldozed to the ground. Momma always said dyin' was a part of life. I sure wish it wasn't. Little Forrest, he's doing just fine. About to start school again soon. I make his breakfast, lunch, and dinner every day. I make sure he combs his hair and brushes his teeth every day. Teaching him how to play ping-pong. He's really good. We fish a lot. And every night, we read a book. He's so smart, Jenny. You'd be so proud of him. I am. He, uh, wrote a letter, and he says I can't read it. I'm not supposed to, so I'll just leave it here for you. Jenny, I don't know if Momma was right or if, if it's Lieutenant Dan. I don't know if we each have a destiny, or if we're all just floating around accidental-like on a breeze, but I, I think maybe it's both. Maybe both is happening at the same time. I miss you, Jenny. If there's anything you need, I won't be far away."

No movie has ever made me cry. Choke me up a bit was the ending credits of American Sniper and the credits to Lone Survivor.

That scene at the end of American Sniper. . .

View Quote Seriously, FUCK Marley and me too. I read the book but won't go near the movie. I had to have my mom's lab put down when she died, he went crazy due to separation anxiety and there was just no going back, and that book brings out 20 years worth of guilt. |
