I've managed to play, Oblivion (barely), Morrowind, Rome: Total War, Half-life 1 and 2, Ground Control (Now free and highly recommended by me, they have a link on wikipedia), And a cool game called Bridge Construction set.  Its not very popular, but you get to build bridges in 3D and pretend you are an architect/engineer.  (wwaw.bridgebuilder-game.com) Or you could buy it.  Its a good time waster, and doesn't take a long investment of time to have fun.  The original bridge builder is 2D and free.  As is a modification of the 2D game.
Also, Americas Army, and Europa univeralis III, and soon I will be trying to play medieval2:total war.

And my computer is almost 4 years old.  But it was a desktop replacement.  Depends on your setup.
A mouse is vital, in my opinion, as is a graphics card, not integrated graphics.
