Hello gents,

I'm having issues with my laptop running some programs...specifically games.  This doesn't seem to affect anything else that I can see.  When I start a game, it runs in a small box in the center of the screen (not a Windows box.)  The rest of the screen remains black.  The game itself runs fine, only is a small box maybe 1/5 the size of the screen.  It didn't start doing this until very recently and I know I didn't change any settings...Any help would be appreciated.  Thanx in advance.

It has to do with the native resolution of the LCD screen, which is something that doesn't exist in CRT screens.

You laptop has a keyboard combination of Fn + something, probably in the number row of the keyboard, that will fix the huge black border. (and may make the image look worse)

What kind of laptop?

On IBMs this is in the Bios options under "EXPANSION" or some such nonsense.  You must enable it to run things fullscreen.
