Yes, it is. A beautiful Islay with a ton of peat but wonderfully balanced.

Open. It is the gold standard of Islay whiskey and is easily replaced.

In for some Lagavulin.

I love the Macallan line as it's the nectar from the Gods, but won't complain about some Lagavulin.

Salude!

I really need to expand my palate. I need to get some decent Scotch. I also need to get some decent Bourbon.

One of my favorite scotches, especially if I have a really nice cigar.

I like it too. No doubt an acquired taste.

That ranks a little lower on my smokey peat scotches. I think when my son in law mentioned the taste of iodine, it stuck with me. Now I notice it; before not so much. Funny how that works.

They hired Nick #blacktranslivesmatter Offerman.

Laphroig gets my money instead.

Bowmore is quite good.  Can't go wrong with either.

I’m a big Laphroaig fan, but the Lagavulin is really nice, the 8 is decent, the 16 and Distiller’s Edition are great.

i can drink laphroaig in a pinch but typically not into peat, but the 16 year lagavulin is special.
