I have the LAN cable plugged in from my cable modemn, the connection icon shows that it is connected, but it is not connecting to any sites when I click on the explorer icon. I have typed in ipconfig at the command prompt and it seems like everything is in place with the Ip address and what not. It only shows a very little amount of data recieved as opposed to data sent when I click on the connectivity icon though. Can anyone diagnose this problem for me or give me some suggestions, I am starting to get pissed and I am thinking about throwing my PC out the window. ETA- O yeah it it works when plugged into my lap top just not my desktop so it has to be a PC issue. |

try this on the machine thats not working. if that doesn't fix it. the next step would be replacing your network card fixed link

The extra http's puts it in super hyper mode.
