I have the LAN cable plugged in from my cable modemn, the connection icon shows that it is connected, but it is not connecting to any sites when I click on the explorer icon. I have typed in ipconfig at the command prompt and it seems like everything is in place with the Ip address and what not.

It only shows a very little amount of data recieved as opposed to data sent when I click on the connectivity icon though. Can anyone diagnose this problem for me or give me some suggestions, I am starting to get pissed and I am thinking about throwing my PC out the window.

ETA- O yeah it it works when plugged into my lap top just not my desktop so it has to be a PC issue.
