This game looks awesome, and the video has shown me the beauty of the EOTech holo sight: http://www.gametrailers.com/player/21637.html |
| The graphics look pretty nice but the AI looks weak so far. Maybe I've missed some good stuff but it looks like the enemies just kinda walk up to you/stand there and you shoot it out. The tracers look too slow or something too. I don't know, it just looks generic somehow. Course it's an early showing and it just a video, maybe the game itself will be much better. |

About the AI - I've heard the same complaints as well but I've also heard that the game is different in that regard. Classic FPS has about 4-10 bad guys on screen at once and each of them can take about 8 bullets before they're down. Killzone is supposed to be more realistic - each average bad guy can take maybe 2-3 bullets and be down BUT the counterbalance is that instead of there being only a group with the size of a squad/section, there might instead be a whole platoon fighting against you (simply because the new consoles (read: PS3) have that kind of processing power to have that many people on screen at once. Also - most of the demo videos are usually put on the easiest mode - afterall, you don't want to waste video time dying and having to restart the level ![]() As for the environments looking drab and gray - it makes it easier to put less focus on the details and more on other aspects - it's a trick pretty much (they can say the world is 'gritty' and gray to cover up that they don't want to make it a bright/colorful game like Halo). They did that with Gears of War too |
