Looking to get two pair for my girls. one 4yo and one 7yo. Stuck between these three on amazon. Any experience with them? Kind of leaning towards the last item (kidz) as they have more colors and the girls would like to pick them out.

I'd still go with electronic ones.

Especially with young kids. I think it would be very important for them to hear all commands and not have to shout for them to hear.

Howard leigt impact sports for $40 and some spray paint. Done.

How big is her head?

The 7 year old should be ok. Maybe start with one pair knowing it will at least fit her. Then try it on the 4 year old, if it fits grab another pair.

$40 with free shipping.

And if for whatever reason the older one doesn't like them keep them for yourself because they are great.

ETA: And apparently for $10 more they come in a couple different colors now.

I bought the Howard Leigt impact sports for my 10 year old son. He is very small for his age.  He likes them because they are relatively thin and he can shoot his rifle without the stock pushing them off of his head.

Growing up, i thought ear protection was for women or whatnot. I just didnt know any better.

My dad talked me into upgrading to a 300 win mag from a mauser and sks when i was 14. I had saved the money from selling my first cows.

I used to shoot that a few times and everything was like scenes from saving private ryan when people are yelling at tom hanks but he cant hear them bc he is shellshocked.

Needless to say, i dont hear well and im only 28. I work around noisy equipment also.

We used the Peltor Jrs back in the day. They were fine. Kids ears are sensitive so they may not like ARs and other loud guns even with the muffs on though.

My kids use the Peltor Jr. 9, 6 and 4 years old. Shooting, car racing and working on my plane. Kids use them an yell at me if I don't.

I do a lot of shooting with kids other than my own and will say electronic muffs are the best for kids.  There is nothing worse than sitting there and having a kid jacking with their ear plugs or non-electronic muffs and have to go back through all the instruction and setup for shooting over and over just because of the hearing protection and them not being able to hear you.
