Not only does this bill set up the create the system for gun confiscation, it is being applied RETROACTIVELY to Januar 1, 1991. Don't be fooled into thinking that this will just be applied to felons (they buy guns at gun stores all of the time, NOT) IT WILL BE USED AGAINST THOSE THAT DIDN'T REGISTER THEIR "ASSAULT WEAPONS". It is a bill meant to terrorize gun owners. I could only scan over the thing as it made me sick.

The whole bill can be read here:

Here are some nice things:

12011.
  (c) If the department determines that, pursuant to subdivision (a)
or (b), the subject has an entry in the Automated Firearms System
indicating possession or ownership of a firearm on or after January
1, 1991, or an assault weapon registration, the following information
shall be entered into the Prohibited Armed Persons File:
  (1) The subject's name.
  (2) The subject's date of birth.
  (3) The subject's physical description.
  (4) Any other identifying information regarding the subject that
is deemed necessary by the Attorney General.
  (5) The basis of the firearms possession prohibition.
  (6) A description of all firearms owned or possessed by the
subject, as reflected by the Automated Firearms System.
12012.  The Attorney General shall provide investigative
assistance to local law enforcement agencies to better ensure the
investigation of individuals who are armed and prohibited from
possessing a firearm.
-----

Oh yes and they even include the mandatory law enforcement "exemption" - a petition for exemption in this case.

   (2) Any person employed as a peace officer described in Section
830.1, 830.2, 830.31, 830.32, 830.33, or 830.5 whose employment or
livelihood is dependent on the ability to legally possess a firearm,
who is subject to the prohibition imposed by this subdivision because
of a conviction under Section 273.5, 273.6, or 646.9, may petition
the court only once for relief from this prohibition.

Here is an interesting bit that was DELETED in the current version. Looks like you might not be getting any stolen guns returned.

If any weapon has been stolen and is
thereafter recovered from the thief or his or her transferee, or is
used in such a manner as to constitute a nuisance pursuant to
subdivision (a) or (b) without the prior knowledge of its lawful
owner that it would be so used, it shall not be so offered for sale
but shall be restored to the lawful owner, as soon as its use as
evidence has been served, upon his or her identification of the
weapon and proof of ownership.

The bill is used to determine whether persons convicted of specified crimes have handguns or assault weapons registered to them and to make such info available to local law inforcement. It's supported by the CRPA.
The DOJ doesn't know that type of long gun you own.(only registered AW's)And the perfect data base already exists ie dealer's Bound Books and 4473's that the the DOJ audits now...
