I have little experience with them, & they aren't discussed much in GD.  What is the consensus?

guns made by a cult...good guns. CM9 here.

Good guns, IME.

PM9, P9, P380.

My first PM9 went back to the factory because the barrel was so rough, it could be used as a rasp.  It came back polished like a baby’s bottom.

No complaints.

I have a Pm9 and a T9.

The T9 is impractical but it’s the most well made pistol I’ve ever seen.

I bought a K9 back in 1997.

Completely reliable. Was my carry gun until 2 years ago I replaced it with a Walther PPS M2.

Some don't care for the metal frame guns' weight, and some don't care for the DA trigger. But neither features bothered me.

I think I need to get it out of the safe and show it a little bit of love this weekend.

My CW9 has been flawless.
Also the softest shooting compact 9mm I have ever shot.

Carried a CW9 as a back up and off-duty for many years. Trigger was buttery smooth, shot great and was reliable.

Only downside was capacity. Jumped on the G43 when they first came out, was meh. Same for the Shield.

Then went 365 and will never go back.

I've got a Kahr 380. I've heard they're not as reliable as Ruger LCPs due to tighter tolerances.

They are good guns. Kahr made a big splash 20 odd years ago, haven't done much since.

I have a K9 and a CM40, no problems with either.

People who can't shoot handguns well, bitch about the trigger.

Crowded markets.  There is nothing inherently wrong with them, they will just always be an also available.

I have a stainless K9.  It looks and feels very "premium".  It carries really nice as well.  It's not light for its size, but being 100% stainless steel will do that.  7+1 rounds for the standard mag.  I think there is an aftermarket aluminum mag floor plate that expands that to 8+1.

Great carry guns. Gave my cw45 to my son.

I had a CW40 back in 2008.
It would drop the mag with EVERY shot.
I spent an hour or more on the phone with customer service. They sent me multiple mag replacements and even had me filing down small surfaces inside the gun.
Never solved the issue.

I have no strong desire to own one other than the letters K-A-H-R are the first name letters for my two sons, myself, and my wife.

Otherwise, S&W, Walther and Ruger have me covered for just about any occasion.

I've had a CW9 for more than 10 years. After the first hundred rounds (they have a specified break-in period), it has been flawless.

I sold my cw9 to a buddy who needed a cheap handgun.

Absolutely the best polymer trigger I've ever used. I wish all striker guns had kahr triggers. Actually, the p250 isn't bad either.

MK9 elite has been a phenomenal pistol.  Thin, deployable, and accurate as hell.  very dependable carry piece.

Good guns that have been surpassed by all the micro pistols on the market.

I have a PM9 I bought when there was no Glock 43/P365/Shield/Hellcat on the market. Kahr was basically the only option for a slim, compact carry gun. Now it basically just stays in the safe.

I had a cw9. Required a break in period but never had an issue afterwards

You have to break it in, the manual even tells you so. No hand fitting at that price point, so no great concern to me. It took the first fifty round to get it to feed a full magazine every time. By the 100th round it was flawless. The manual claimed 200 rounds so the next hundred went down the pipe before I carried it.

I hated the trigger at first. I laid it down at the range and picked up my Smith 642 and fired it for 20 rounds or so. Then i picked up the Kahr and stroked the trigger through like the Smith and it just worked.  It's a DAO revolver trigger in a semiautomatic pistol.

I like them a lot. Especially at that price point.

Excellent micro pistols.  Actually pocketable.

The weight makes them MUCH more pleasant to shoot than G43/P365/PM9/Hellcat/etc.

I kind of want to have mine milled for a HS407k and the front strap checkered.

I had a PM9 as my BUG for a decade. It wouldn’t run with HP at all when I first got it. I had to get a new RSA and polish the shit out of the feed ramp. The extreme feed angle causes the rounds in spare mags to drop out of the spare magazines when carried upside down in mag pouches. It was nothing to grab a 7 round mag and only have 5 rounds with two left behind. I never did like the extra long trigger pull and reset. As soon as I got my hands on a Glock 43, I sold the Kahr and never looked back.

I used to own 2 of them great pistols.

Eventually I moved on to better options.  But they never ceased to be beautiful and reliable.

Before the new compact hybrid pistols came out I was looking into their newer CW line.

The K9 is such a sexy pistol.  Small but it doesn't feel small at all. Liked to carry mine wearing slacks and a Hawaiian shirt.

I have a stainless steel K40 that I used to carry but then it just became way too heavy for daily carry.  Incredibly smooth trigger but the longest trigger pull I have ever experienced on a pistol

Bought my wife a CW9.  Same thing.  Mag dropped at least twice every time.  Called them and they said "yeah, we've heard that".  No fixes.  I have it in the safe and haven't touched it in 5 years.

I had two PM9s that I sold, and I have a P9.  The 9mm magazines are terrible.  They let cartridges wiggle free and eject.  On the polymer pistols, the spring for the slide stop is screwed into the polymer frame.  It’s easy to strip the hole in the frame, and that requires a frame replacement.  The barrels will peen at the lockup points with the slide.  How bad it gets depends on the particular pistol.  Also, the frame mounted safety is awkward to hit reliably.

Other than that, they were fine.  Mine always went bang.

200 rd break-in is absolute.

If you like revolvers then you will get along fine with the Kahr DAO.

I have two P9s.

Both very reliable after the first couple hundred rounds. Had one that would not fully return to battery.
It worked itself out though.

The worst thing I hate is that after carrying a magazine in my pocket , I would at least 90% of the time find a loose round or two in my pocket or washing machine.

Now I   Carry a P365 XL and the spare mag in my pocket. Not once have I had a round come out of the magazine.

Decent designs, long but quality DA trigger, slightly expensive and heavier than many options on the market.

Ive thought about picking one up from time to time, but the juice isn't quite worth the squeeze to me.

Mine shot fine, I don’t wear baggy cargos or JNCO jeans like most of GD, so it was kinda thick for pocket carry to me. Ended up selling it because I had no use for something that small that I couldn’t pocket carry. Definitely one of the best factory triggers of any of the pocket size guns I’ve owned.

Bought a MK9 as soon as I could find one. Slim, small, 6 to 8 rounds depending on mag choice. Polymer lower was super light, stainless blackened slide, long ass DAO trigger, +p rated Loather polygon barrels. If you can stay on target with the trigger pull it will put them in the same hole.

Excellent pocket pistol, still very relevant. I can also pocket the p365 and I still reach for the pm9 most of the time.

I briefly owned a CM9. I think it was my first attempt at a pocket carried 9mm if memory serves. Seemed well-made and fit its role well, but the sights bothered me and I hated the DAO trigger. For what it was supposed to be, I'm sure it was just fine. I just discovered in that moment that I really dislike DAO revolver triggers, which is what they were going for as I understand it.

I had a CW9. I didn't have any issues with it. I traded it for a G36 Glock. I then sold the Glock, and bought an HK45C.
